Inspired by Princeton Architectural Press’ popular Says book series, Jan sat down to compile hundreds of evocative quotes from notable lawyers across the centuries, from eighteenth-century William Blackstone and author of the four-volume Commentaries on the Laws of England to twenty-first-century Columbia Law School's Elora Mukerjee, a globally recognized advocate for immigrants, asylum seekers, and unaccompanied migrant children. The 150 quotes, quips, and words of inspiration are highlighted by statements urging equity and justice for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, or sexual preference.
