About the Artist of “White Pine”
Carrie Di Costanzo was a fashion illustrator before shifting her focus to botanical art, capturing nature’s colors and textures. She participates in Filoli’s Annual Botanical Art exhibits as well as the annual group shows with the American Society of Botanical Artists/Horticultural Society of New York, receiving the Ursus Award in 2013 for “White Pine.” Her work is held in the botanical collections at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, and private collections.
