Wild Design: Nature’s Architects

Envisioning a book portraying the architecture of nature, Jan went to Kimberly Ridley, the Maine-based, award-winning children’s book author and science writer, who pairs brief essays on forms in nature with reprints of antique botanical illustrations. Published in November 2021 by Princeton Architectural Press, Wild Design reveals the wonders of the natural world as never seen before, through the stunning, extraordinary, and functional forms created by animals, plants, and other organisms all around us.
