The Sea Ranch: Fifty Years of Architecture, Landscape and Placemaking on the Northern California Coast

Moved by a personal tour of The Sea Ranch, built on a vacated rock-shorn ranch overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Northern California, Jan approached Donlyn Lyndon, among the founding designers of the first Sea Ranch buildings to write the book. In turn, Donlyn, a distinguished professor of architecture at UC Berkeley, worked with Jan to secure photographer Jim Alinder and eminent landscape architect Lawrence Halprin to contribute to this comprehensive volume.
